Be with U

the radio of our mind

There are times in our lives when everything is normal and happy and nothing’s wrong, yet we feel like something’s missing. As if something is incomplete. Typical teenage quotes and posts around the social network tell us this is loneliness and we somehow start believing it. We start connecting to it, and hence conclude that we’re depressed or that we don’t have friends or something but deep down we know that’s not true. Deep down we know we have our loving family and our few best friends and teachers and some random happy strangers who care for us. But yet we give in to those silly quotes and depressing novels because we can’t find the right answers. All of us go through this. But you know what, when i went through this i realized we look for the answers at the wrong place. When they say look inside yourself, they mean that it’s just you who’s changing from within and you need to talk to your bestest friend who’s literally by your side all the time – YOU. You are your best friend and you need to talk to yourself. You aren’t lonely but have been ignoring your best friend since a long time now.
Maybe whatever I’ve written doesn’t even make sense to you but i know it definitely makes more sense than assuming yourself to be lonely and thus isolating yourself further more.
So whenever you think something’s unusual or something’s wrong, even though everything is just normal, you should know you aren’t depressed. It’s just that you haven’t been paying attention to the radio inside your mind who’s not been able to tune itself to the right channel since quite a while now. And that you have to fix that radio and not your life. It’s now high time to start discussing your problems with yourself and getting over them independently, all by yourself.
And when you’re done with it, Smile like a pro at your victory and go on with life without thinking too much. ❤
